Holiday Sampler Photos

Here is a sampling of the fiber-related items that I hand make.  There has been a heavy emphasis on wool over the years because until 2017 I had a flock of sheep... and am still overwhelmed with their wool.   Most of my weaving and all of my jewelry making involve other fibers.

Above: My booth at The Northampton Center for the Arts Artisan Fair in November 2022.  When I arrived I found that my booth was open to aisles on three sides which created a bit of a challenge in defining my space.

Above: A woven wallhanging using hand-dyed un-spun wool from my sheep.

Above and below: a sampling of the handwoven dish towels that I offered for sale in 2022

Below: handwoven mug rugs (ie. mini rugs, perfect to place under mugs of hot coffee or tea) using hand-dyed wool yarn from local sheep including my own.

Below: Crystal beads that I wired together in a star arrangement for Christmas tree ornaments.  I used a kumihimo braiding technique to create the hangers.

Below: Crocheted Christmas ornament, again from the same hand-dyed local yarn described above.

Below: a flower crocheted from wool from my own sheep that I hand-dyed and hand-spun.

Below: a star ornament created by wrapping wool.  I used my supply of hand-dyed yarn from local sheep.

Below: A wall hanging created from felt from my own sheep in natural colors.

Below: Felted cat toys with jingle bells inside.  I used hand-dyed wool from my own sheep.  These have sold well year after year.

Below: Earrings and a choker necklace created either with hand-made paper beads or hand-made cloth beads.  They include semi-precious stone beads or glass beads in a supporting role, but all of the jewelry that I make has beads created from fiber as the focal beads.  I create my own ear wires.
